Biomarker Porn: How and why the US NIMH encourages faulty biomarker research
The NIMH is encouraging claims about breakthrough discoveries of biomarkers for mental disorder that are premature and based on grossly underpowered samples recruited for other purposes. This presentation will debunk some claims and trace them to a desperate need to document the scientific status of Research Domain Criteria (RDoC).
