Two network analysis approaches for the identification of disease associated genes
I will describe two protein/gene network analysis methods that we have developed for the identification of disease associated genes. While BioGranat-IG aims to identify related genes carrying functional mutations for a number of patients, region growing analysis (RGA) aims to identify de-novo subnetworks associated with complex phenotypes. I will present some “worked” examples demonstrating the utility of either approach.
